Man Accidentally (Negligently) Shoots Wife While Getting Ready To Head To The Range

KETTERING, OHIO — A man had a negligent discharge while getting ready for a trip to the range, and the result was a gunshot wound to his wife’s ankle.

Local news reports that while the man was removing a magazine from his 9mm firearm, it discharged a round.

His wife was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Always assume that the firearm is loaded. Always follow the 4 rules of firearm safety. Never make anyone believe that you are likely to be a future receiver of a Darwin Award.

The best safety if the one between your ears. Never forget; these incidents are 100% avoidable if we are handling our firearms properly.
