Homeowner Returns Fire On Would-be Intruders; Why It’s Always Wise To Carry At Home

Published

A man scared off two people attempting to get into his home Monday after he refused their request to cut firewood.

Luckily for the homeowner, he was prepared for what happened after the strange request at his front door.

The homeowner, Armando Morales, told officers that he had answered a knock at his door. The two men at the door asked Morales if they could cut firewood, to which he refused and closed the door. Morales then told police that the two men began firing shots through his front door, then kicked it open and entered the home. At that point, Morales fired back on the duo and sent them running in the opposite direction.

The two suspects were later pulled over after a neighbor had given police an excellent description of their vehicle. They were quickly identified as the suspects from the shooting.

This story is another example of how important it is to carry at home, because you never know when trouble is going to come knocking on your door. It’s better to be prepared than to be forced into victim status.
