Springfield Armory came out with their RO Elite Series of pistols not too long ago, and we wanted to share them with you so that you can see what’s offered in the line-up. Watch the video above that’s sure to have you drooling. The ‘RO’ stands for Range Officer, and they’re available in the following models: 1911 RANGE OFFICER® ELITE COMPACT AVAILABLE IN 9MM & .45ACP 1911 RANGE OFFICER® ELITE CHAMPION™ AVAILABLE IN 9MM & .45ACP 1911 RANGE OFFICER® ELITE OPERATOR® AVAILABLE IN 9MM & .45ACP 1911 RANGE OFFICER® ELITE TARGET AVAILABLE IN 9MM & .45ACP Springfield has the following to say about the line:
“Performance beyond its price” now goes even further. The RO® Elite: 1911 Range Officer® quality in four new forms. Every new RO Elite series pistol is clad in the same Black-T® treatment specified on Springfield Armory 1911s built for the FBI’s regional SWAT and Hostage Rescue Teams. RO Elite models also include: Springfield Armory’s crisp, newly-designed Gen 2 triggers, ambidextrous thumb safeties, and custom thin-line G-10 grips designed specifically for this series, adding an entirely new feel for high-precision 1911s. That’s more than $370 worth of upgrades, for only a $125 increase in price. The RO Elite Target includes a fully adjustable rear target sight and fiber optic front sight. The RO Elite Operator, Champion and Compact models feature a tactical rack, white-dot rear sight and fiber optic front sight. The new RO Elite line gives pistol enthusiasts more choices, more value, and more ways to enhance their shooting. That’s the goal of every Springfield Armory firearm.
What do you think about their RO line? Is it something that you have, or something that you’re interested in adding to your collection?
