Jim Sursely served in the United States Army in Vietnam. An encounter with a land mine left him with both legs and an arm amputated. He, and many veterans like him, feel abandoned and alone before DAV stepped in to help. Founded in 1920, DAV is a leading nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families. The organization helps more than a million veterans each year in positive, life-changing ways. We invite you to help us support and enable the many victories in our veteran’s lives.

Your monthly support helps our heroes:

  • Get the benefits they deserve
  • Receive transportation to medical appointments
  • Find meaningful employment
