Man Shot And Killed While Riding His Four-Wheeler Down Neighborhood Street

Published

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A man was shot multiple times while riding his four-wheeler in a neighborhood, and then ran to jump a fence in an effort to get away from his attacker. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

The person who shot him was identified as Donald R. Lenor, and he is being charged with murder and assault of a peace officer. Lenor ran away after the shooting, but police caught up with him shortly after and took him into custody.

Further investigation determined the victim was riding his four-wheeler and was shot at by the suspect, later identified as Lenor.  The victim crashed his four-wheeler in a yard at 7006 South Hall Street, jumped the fence and ended up at 7005 West Knoll Street, where he was located by responding HPD patrol officers.  Lenor crashed his vehicle into a ditch on Hall Street and fled the scene.  He was taken into custody a short time later by responding HPD patrol officers and charged for his role in the shooting.

The motive behind the deadly attack is not known, or at least we couldn’t find it. I’m not sure what one would do if you were being shot at while riding a four-wheeler outside of flooring it and trying to get as much distance between you and the attacker as possible.

There are bad people in this world, and they can be around every corner.
