ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man is dead after police say he got into an argument with another man over a parking spot on Saturday.

Gilbert Bush was trying to park in a spot where Charles Edward Bentley was standing with a group of friends. The two got into an argument and Bentley pulled out a gun and shot Bush multiple times, St. Petersburg police said in a statement.

Bush later died at the hospital.

Police searched for Bentley and found him, taking him into custody. He is being charged with second degree murder.

Walk away. Or in this case, drive. There are terrible people out there, and we can unfortunately meet up with them unexpectedly. If any resistance is given, that’s a person who you should be avoiding. If Bush had left to find another spot, he’d likely be alive.

Choose battles, and have battles only when absolutely necessary, as in life or death.
