Employee Shoots And Kills 1 Of 3 Armed Robbers During Vape Shop Heist

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA — A 17-year-old is dead after police say he and two others went into a tobacco and vape shop, armed with guns and looking to score.

It happened Monday night just before 8 p.m. and police were called to the location after a report of a robbery. A total of three men went into the store and ended up taking an undisclosed amount of money while holding the employees at gunpoint.

Police say at some point, one of the employees who was armed shot one of the robbery suspects, later identified as 17-year-old Gabriel Malachi Kalu. The other two robbers took off and police are trying to locate them.
