Man Shot By Ex-Girlfriend After Throwing Paver Through Glass Door And Chasing Her Through The Apartment

Published

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A jealous ex-boyfriend picked up a paver outside of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and threw it into a glass patio door, shattering it and allowing him access to the apartment. Inside were his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Once inside, police say he chased his ex-girlfriend, and at some point she was able to get her handgun and fire three shots, striking him twice in the legs and once in the stomach.

“He decided today, I guess out of jealousy, he took a concrete paver, he bashed in the back door patio window,” Lt. R. Willkens said. It was a door with a lot of glass on it. He busted it and went into the apartment.”

The ex was found nearby and taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive, but will likely face charges related to the break-in.

Remember that no one is coming to save you, and that could include people inside the house with you. Self-defense includes self-sufficiency, and relying on your preparedness to protect yourself.
