Suspect Dead After Hostages Escape During Texas Synagogue Incident, Video Shows Escape

Published

Dramatic footage showed the remaining three hostages running out a door of the Synagogue where a suspect was holding them hostage and reportedly demanding that his sister, a terrorist serving a nearly 90-year sentence in Texas, be released from prison.

The incident began late Saturday morning and lasted a full 12 hours before SWAT members took the suspect down.

Authorities are not releasing the identity of the suspect, but say they are aware of his identity. The FBI hostage rescue team were the ones who went in to take down the suspect, a decision that ultimately comes from the President, according to WFAA.

An official motive has not yet been released, and parts of this incident may never be known since the suspect did not survive.

It is not yet known how the hostages escaped, but I’d guess by the video that they found a perfect time to make their break and they did just that.
