Iowa Sheriffs Searching For Wounded Burglar After Being Shot By Homeowner

BONDURANT, IOWA — Sherriff’s deputies from Polk County Iowa are actively searching for a suspected burglar that was shot by a homeowner during a burglary attempt.

At approximately 5pm on a Monday in late March of this year, an Iowa homeowner called sheriff’s deputies about a home invasion in progress, and then began shooting at the suspect. According to detectives, evidence at the scene shows that the suspect was hit but immediately fled the scene. The suspect has not been located since.

Authorities say they are looking for an older White Man driving a mid 2000s white Buick LeSabre. No other description was given.
