Shots Fired After Man Rams Vehicle Into North Carolina Japanese Restaurant

FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA — An altercation between a man and other patrons of a Japanese restaurant in Fayetteville led to the man ramming the restaurant with a vehicle, according to reports.

The incident occurred January 16th at 12:18 a.m, according to Fox 8.

The incident occurred at Mikoto’s Japanese restaurant, located in the 7900 block of Raeford road. The suspect, identified as 22 year old Joshua Caleb Hunt, was involved a fight with several patrons in the outdoor dining area of the restaurant.

Per police, Hunt was possibly intoxicated from an unknown substance. Hunt got into a white truck and crashed into the outdoor seating area, striking patrons in the process. Hunt then allegedly placed his vehicle in reverse and struck patrons again.

Police advised that shots were fired at Hunt as he fled the scene. Two patrons were hospitalized with minor injuries and one refused treatment. Hunt was later located and charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The person who fired at Hunt was not identified.
