Would-Be Burglar Allegedly Lunges At Armed Neighbor, Killed On Scene

HOUSTON, TEXAS — An alleged would-be burglar is dead after attempting to break into an empty home in Houston, Texas, according to reports.

The unnamed man was reportedly trying to gain access to the home Saturday, but was confronted by an armed neighbor, according to KHOU.

The alleged would-be home invader reportedly lunged at the neighbor, at which time that neighbor fired his gun and killed the attacker.

The man died at the scene. Police responded, and the armed citizen is reportedly cooperating with authorities.

With neither party named, it’s unlikely we’ll get to see the tail end of this story, but the investigation is presumed to be ongoing at the time of this report.
