Armed Employee Stops Attack At Kansas Gas Station

WICHITA, KANSAS — A man is recovering after reportedly being shot by an employee during an altercation at a Wichita gas station.

The incident occurred February 5th at around 1:25 a.m., according to The Wichita Eagle. The altercation took place at the JumpStart gas station, located at the intersection of Broadway and Murdock.

A 28-year-old man at the location was asked to leave by JumpStart employees, according to the report. The man then allegedly started a fight with the employees. One of the employees reportedly shot the man in the course of the fight after he continued to attack them.

The man was hospitalized with serious injuries but last reported in stable condition after surgery. Police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Wichita Police at #316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at #316-267-2111.
