Homeowner Shoots, Kills Alleged Intruder In Iowa

MONTICELLO, IOWA — A suspect is dead after being shot when he allegedly broke into a Monticello residence.

The incident occurred on January 11th at a residence on South Sycamore, according to Iowa’s News Now.

The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Pattrick O’Brine.

O’Brine was shot after he allegedly broke into the residence. The homeowner had called 911 but then reportedly shot O’Brine. The homeowner’s 10-year-old son was also home at the time of the shooting. Neither were injured in the altercation.

The shooting remained under investigation at the time of Iowa’s News Now’s report.
