Armed Citizen Engages Three Would-Be Carjackers Resulting In Shootout

CROFTON, MARYLAND — A Crofton shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. April 24, following an attempted break-in of a blue 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat.

The victim confronted three suspects with a personal firearm, leading to a suspect aiming a handgun at them, according to Shore News Network.

The victim fired in response and retreated indoors amidst more gunshots. Fortunately, no injuries, building damage, or vehicle damage were reported.

Officers discovered two spent casings at the scene on the 900 block of Eastham Court.
