15-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shoots Father Who Was Trying To Shoot Him And His Mother

ROCK CAVE, WEST VIRGINIA — In West Virginia, a tragic incident occurred where a 15-year-old boy fatally shot his father in self-defense, as confirmed by state police. The confrontation began when Maxwell Laham fired a shotgun at his wife and subsequently aimed the weapon at his son.

The teenager, in an attempt to protect himself and mother, retreated upstairs with a 20-gauge shotgun. When his father pursued and threatened him with the firearm, the son responded by shooting him once in the chest, resulting in Laham’s death.

The mother and one other child were able to flee the scene unharmed.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
