Car Burglary Suspect Shot After Being Unaware Of Armed Occupant Inside

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — In the early hours of Sunday morning, just before 3 a.m., in the vicinity of Hemphill Street and W. Bolt Street, Fort Worth police responded to a shooting incident involving a car burglary suspect.

The suspect, who had attempted to burglarize a vehicle occupied by people at the time, was critically wounded by gunfire from one of the individuals inside the vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered the injured suspect and transported them to a hospital in critical condition.

The intended victims of the attempted burglary cooperated with law enforcement at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, with no additional information disclosed by the police.
